DESCRIPTION/MISSION:
COPIA is a non-profit discovery center whose mission is to explore, celebrate and share the many pleasures and benefits of wine, its relationship with food and its significance to our culture.
ARCHITECTURE:
The 80,000-square-foot stone, polished concrete, metal and glass building was designed by principals James Polshek and Richard Olcott, and associate Robert Young of Polshek Partnership Architects.

COPIA includes:
• 13,000 square feet of gallery space for long-term and changing exhibitions of art, culinary history and science
• A 260 raked-seat theater for films and lectures
• A rare-books library
• Classrooms with audio-visual capabilities
• A 74-seat demonstration kitchen forum
• A gourmet dining room named for honorary trustee Julia Child, which features a dramatic open finishing kitchen
